33 Months

I'm not sure how much you weight but you are  36 3/4 (you have grown a lot in the last few months) inches tall.

We still don't have any major problems with getting you to eat, but we have seen some slow down in the whole eating dinner thing. If you love what we are having then we don't have any problems, but if it is ok...then you may only eat a few bites. You are growing so I'm not worried.

You are in bed from 7:30pm to 7:00 am. Sometimes you talk to yourself or sing and we have to come in after 8 and tell you its time to be quiet and go to sleep. =) The naps are interesting lately. About once a week, you decide that you aren't going to sleep. You talk and sing (but stay in bed) and you just never go to sleep. I hope this doesn't become a more regular pattern. You still need your naps (and mommy does too).

You still wear a diaper at night and naps.

You are mostly wearing 2T shirts, but I have started buying 3T. The 3T are definitely a bit big, but that is the size that you will wear late winter. Pants are another story. You need 2T in length but you have to have ultra skinny with adjustable bands. You can't just have the slim fit (trust me I know). After trying on about twenty pairs at the mall and leaving with none....I know you are skinny. lol. Baby Gap ultra skinny are the one and only pairs that fit right now.

You started Mother's Day Out this month and you love it. You play stop and go with Cozy Coupes in the hallway and that is by far your favorite thing. Your teachers are impressed with your attitude and manners. They have commented on both every time I pick you up. That makes me so happy! They are also amazed at your appetite. Seriously, if I give you something you love to eat there is no ending to your stomach. I'm a bit scared for the teenage years in that regard.

You love your morning tv time. You watch one show for about an hour between 7:45-8:30 (it gives me time for coffee). The favorite morning contenders are Fireman Sam and Huckle. For the past week, Huckle has been number one.

Sweet Banana Flat Bread

I got this recipe from Love Food Eat via Pinterest.

It is super easy and an awesome to-go snack. Luke and I even drizzled some warm chocolate on them and they were amazing like that.

ps. It looks like Luke is doing all the work, but I did mix everything.

Ingredients:
  • Whole wheat flour 2 cups
  • Mashed bananas 1 cup
  • 2-3 tables spoon of oil
  • Salt
  • Water

Peel and mash the bananas well. Combine mashed bananas, whole wheat flour, salt and make a stiff dough. Add the oil and kneed well. Make the dough into small ball, dust them with flour and roll them out into circles with a rolling pin.
Heat a griddle. When hot lightly grease with oil. Place the flat bread on the griddle. When small bubbles appear on it, turn it over to the other side. When this side starts to change colour, apply a couple of drops on oil, spread well and turn over. Apply a little more oil on this side as well. Your flat bread is ready when small red spots appear on it. Do not over heat the griddle as this might burn them.

1st Day of MDO

You wanted to take a picture of Daddy.

We were getting ready to get in the car when I decided that I had to bust out the real camera. =)

Once we got strapped in to the carseat, you started asking me a thousand questions. You couldn't quite grasp that fact that you were going to stay somewhere with other kids and have lunch with them. I don't think you were nervous, but you were definitely curious. I started to worry just a bit on the drive over to Carpenter's Kids. You are extremely independent and have never been overly clingy. I thought you would love it, but just being your Mommy....I was nervous.

We got out of the car and you clutched my hand. I put your backpack on and we started walking to the door. You saw tons of other kids and their parents. We ended up walking next to a little girl and her grandma. You informed the grandma that you were too small to go to school on a real bus, but Mommy says that pretty soon you can ride one. She thought you were adorable.

At school getting ready to drop you off.

I took you to your classroom and set your backpack down. You were off! I had to call you three times to come back and give me a hug and kiss.

I picked up Daddy for lunch and we came to get you. He was curious to see how your first day went. When we went to your classroom, it was empty. The sign said that you guys were playing in the hallway by the gym. We started that way and saw tons of ride-on cars. I knew from that site, that you were having a great time. You were in a cozy coupe and the other ten(ish) kids were on cars as well. You guys were playing red light green light. We had to call you twice for you to even see us. You didn't want to go home, but your teachers talked you in to leaving.

On the way home, you talked about what when on. You did some art, played outside, ate lunch, and played with cars.

The overall consensus is that you were exhausted by the time we got home, but you loved every minute of the time you spent at MDO.

Daddy and I are so proud of you. We love you!
