Little bit of this and a little bit of that

The new year brings new goals and with every year comes goals that are not accomplished. I was talking to Luke the other day about wanting to read more. I want to read more meaningful/educational/fulfilling books. Last year, I had the goal to read 50 books. I didn't keep track of them after the first couple of months, but I probably accomplished that goal. Were they meaningful? No. Did I enjoy them? Somewhat.

This year, I want to be more selective on what I read and I do actually want to commit to reviewing them. I'm currently reading this:

I'm only on the third chapter, but I like it so far. Review to come!

On to the next thing: Greyson. We had a great year in 2012. I feel some Mommy guilt for not blogging more, because I know I'm going to forget the little things.

So, head back to Halloween. I never blogged about it. I was so excited to get Greyson the firefighter costume. Luke and I decided to get a really nice dress-up costume on Amazon. All summer and early fall, Greyson was playing firefighter every day (all day long). We splurged on the costume, because we *knew that he would play with it everyday. Well, once October came (and we had already bought the costume) he wasn't playing firefighter every day. He was excited about his costume, but he wasn't in love with it. Sad!

Luke couldn't believe that I actually wanted to take his firetruck trick or treating with us. Come on,  if you had a firetruck and you were dressing up as a fireman, wouldn't you want your firetruck with you? lol

We went to the Magic House in St. Louis in October and it was amazing. Seriously, probably the best thing I have ever seen for kids. Greyson was enthralled and every room we went to was better than the last.
We are in the "Construction Room" in these pictures.
Now, we are in the "Pretend Play" area. Of course, most of our time was spent changing oil, putting on tires, taking tires off and crawling under the car. It was seriously amazing.

This is a pretend area where you fish. It is "catch and release" only. Once you catch a fish, you have to walk "up river" ( through a hallway) and "release" the fish. You can then watch the fish "swim" back to the river. Cool...really cool.
Pizza Parlor. May I take your order?

You can't tell, but we are outside sitting in a boat. He loved it ..... all of it.
We are definitely going back to the Magic House soon. =)

I need to share Christmas, Greyson's Birthday and his 3 year stats...but I'll save that for another day.
