19 Months

You weigh 23 lbs.

You eat three meals a day, plus a few small snacks here and there.

You go to sleep at 7:30pm and get up around 6:30am. You are taking one nap a day. You go down at 12:35 and wake up between 2:30-3:00pm.

You wear 12-18 month clothes in just about everything. There are a few pair of shorts that are 12-18 months and still don't fit. I'm hoping you get to wear them a few times before the end of the summer. You are wearing a size 5 shoe.

You wear a size 4 diaper during the day and a size 4 overnight diaper at night.

You're favorite thing to do right now is driving the car. You want the keys and you want to go to the car. Every day, all day long, I hear "Momma keys", "Car", etc. When I take you out somewhere, we always spend a bit of time driving the car at each location.

Another favorite thing of yours is to get underdogs. You love them. The way you say it is so cute.

Tractor....Me Want Tractor

Can you get what I'm saying? Greyson is all about tractors! We took him to the Orchard last weekend and he got to see Grandpa's tractor. He was a bit hesitant to get on it at first, but enjoyed it once he was on. He got extremely upset once the tractor was started.

I uploaded the pictures yesterday and we have looked through them a thousand times. He wants to look at the tractor every time we go in the office. I finally just set one of the pictures to the desktop picture. Now, I can just wiggle the mouse and he can stare all he wants. =)

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

I told Greyson that he was going to take a picture for Grandpa. He just sat there and held the sign. I told him that Grandpa is now really old and we needed to remind him of that.

Happy 50th Birthday! We love you.

The Monster is on the Loose!

Can I just say that my kid was hilarious yesterday? I decided to organize his closet when he woke up from his nap. Upon pulling almost everything out of the closet, I found a pair of Monster boots that I bought for him. Greyson proceeds to go "uggh, uggh, uggh" and tried to grab them from me. He wanted those suckers on. I put socks on him and then I put the boots on. He stomped all over the house. He stomped to the kitchen and then looked at his feet and back and forth he went. This continued on for at least an hour. I kept asking him if he wanted me to take his boots off and he kept vigorously shaking his head back and forth (for no). It was so funny and cute.

Food...Food...Food...

I tried three new recipes last week and all were good. I thought I would just share in one big post.

Chocolate Stuffed Raspberries
Very easy. I stuffed two chocolates for each raspberry. Yummy.
Found recipe here.

Strawberry Bread
Makes 2 9x5" loaves*

3 cups frozen strawberries (without syrup)*
3 1/8 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon lemon zest (about 1 lemon's worth)
1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
4 eggs, beaten

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Generously butter and flour two 9 x 5 inch loaf pans.

Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt, baking soda and lemon zest in large bowl (we used a Kitchen Aid mixer with the paddle attachment). Mix well. In a separate small bowl, blend oil and eggs together. Slowly add oil and egg mixture to flour mixture, blending until dry ingredients are barely moistened. Fold in the frozen strawberries and pecans (if using). The batter will be thick.

Divide batter into the prepared pans. Bake for about 55 to 60 minutes, or until tester inserted comes out clean. The loaves may take up to an hour and 15 minutes so don't stress if yours aren't done until after an hour in the oven. Let cool in pans for 10 minutes. Turn out the loaves and cool completely on a wire rack.

* I used one 9x5 pan and a muffin pan with 12 muffins. I think the muffins were better than the bread. I will be making all muffins next time I make this recipe.

*I used fresh strawberries instead of frozen.

Greyson loved the bread.

Michigan Trip

I'm a few weeks behind on blogging about this but, hey, better late than never! We were finally able to make it to Michigan. Greyson had never seen his Great Grandparents and the rest of the family that lives there, so we were glad we were able to go this year. We traveled through the night there and on the way back and it worked well.

We were able to spend quality time with family and really enjoyed it. On Friday, we played on the lake all day. Raymond, Marissa and Ben were all so good with Greyson. It made me wish we were closer. Greyson enjoyed his cousins doting over him.

Lake Day:

Lee, Luke's Uncle, is amazing on a slalom ski. He went through a ski course on the lake a few times and Luke and I were both amazed at how fast he went.

I think Luke was a bit jealous of Raymond. Raymond could get some major air while wakeboarding.

On Saturday, we headed to Bowling Green for a 50th Wedding Anniversary. The facility where the party was at had a garden in the back with tractors and sand. Greyson was in heaven.

Sunday, we headed to Church and then played at the lake again. Later that day, we drove home. We were all super tired on Monday. Grey actually fell asleep in his highchair, which has never happened!
