A Bit of Everything

This last week was crazy! Our nanny, Elizabeth, watched Greyson for the first time all week. I have pretty darn happy with her. She is always reading & talking to Greyson and she keeps the house clean. She did put some of his clothes up in the wrong spots, but I think I can handle that.

Work has been super busy. I worked more than I usually do this past week and am going to be doing the same thing this coming week. We have a few new accounts and I'm spear-heading them. If anyone has any good ideas for a retention plan that would work around an outbound call-center position...please let me know!

I hate to make anyone jealous, but my dinner tonight was amazing! Grilled asparagus (sauteed with garlic), toasted french bread with a garlic olive oil dipping sauce and grilled bruschetta chicken. Hmm, writing about it makes me hungry again. Here's a picture if you couldn't visualize.

I had to put this picture of Greyson up. I love it. Its been chilly up here the last few days, so I had to put him in it.
Luke brought home flowers the other day. Actually, two sets of flowers. I had this set on the coffee table and another on the kitchen table. They made my week.
I'm still working on my bedroom, bathroom and closet in my quest to do spring cleaning this year. The good news is that every corner and drawer in all three rooms has been gone through. The bad news is that I still have to dust, vacuum, mop, and scrub to completely finish the rooms. Further bad news is that its taken me over a week to get to where I'm at and I have my whole house to do after I get done. Yuck!

Spring Cleaning and Bargain Shopping

Before I started my spring cleaning, I really should have thought about what I wanted to accomplish and the timeframe. I don’t think I realized that most people do spring cleaning on an already clean house. For them, this is the time to go through every nook and cranny. I wish I would have thought about that on Sunday. I started my spring cleaning on my dirty bedroom and now I have an even bigger mess. On the bright side, I have quite a few things to add to the garage sale (thanks Stacey for inviting me to put my junk in it). I filled a few Walmart bags with stuff to donate to the Salvation Army (yeah, tax credits for this year!). Overall though, I have a lot of work today. =(

I’ve still been bargain shopping for groceries and diapers. I find it fun to get really good deals on stuff. One of my newest things is rebate forms. I had one for Staples printer paper and will end up getting it free when the check comes in the mail. I’m off to do my weekly bargain shopping at Dillions today and I’m going to be able to get three boxes of Ziplock bags for free with a rebate form as well. Free is always the best way to go.

Here was my shopping trip picture from last week. I spent $1.78!

Luke made Leilani's sausage gravy on Sunday. I think we will be having it a few more times in the next few weeks as well. We need to use up all the biscuits that I got. LOL. Also on my list to make is Grandma's oreo cookies.

Past the 3rd month

I can't believe Greyson is already over 3 months. Its crazy how fast the last few weeks have gone. I took the one month picture in front of the elephant because I thought it was funny how small he was compared to it. Later that month, Luke and I were filling out his baby book and noticed that there are spots on each month for a photo. We decided to take the same picture every month to see his growth. They aren't the greatest pictures or anything, but I like them. **The underline function is switched on and I can't figure out how to switch it off.**

One Month
I had completely forgotten that he had a blocked tear duct until I was looking at this picture.

Two Months
Look at his hernia. Poor Baby.

Three Months
First thing is that his hernia is almost completely gone. Second thing is that compared to the other pictures he looks a little chunky. (Ha! Don't look up close on the letters. I can't find the picture that Luke edited so I had to use this one. We didn't have 2 E's, so we had to use a P. Luke fixed the picture to show the 2nd E, but I'm not sure where it is).

A Week In Pictures

I thought I would post a few random pictures that we took this week.

I bought this hat last year after we found out we were pregnant. I got it for $.99. Not only was the hat too small, but he hated it. LOL

Greyson made a new friend this week. I put the dinosaur in his arms and he kept "kissing" (licking) it. We thought it was adorable.

I wanted to get a picture in his new shirt (made by Great Grandma), but he wasn't happy about it.

I swear these two will drive me nuts. This is not a posed picture. Luke did tell me that Greyson wouldn't go to sleep on him like this the other day, because he was enthralled by the game Daddy was playing.

Posing in a cute outfit that finally fits.

I'm addicted!

Ever since Greyson was born, I have been cutting coupons and signing up for free samples. The free samples are fun, because I always forget I signed up for them. I started using coupons religiously on diapers and then slowly using them on other products. Leslie and I have talked about coupons and how there are so many people out there who get all kinds of stuff for free by using them. We both liked the idea of pairing coupons with sales to get really good deals, but we didn’t really understand the concept of how you can get items for hardly nothing. I think Leslie’s life changed last Sunday and my changed today. One of her play-date friends is one of these coupon saving, double coupon using, get practically all your groceries for nothing, mom. This friend showed her how to cut the coupons and use certain websites to gain more coupons. She then went on to show her how to pair the coupons with the sales at Dillions to get groceries for a great deal. Leslie, being the great friend that she is, gave me the play-by-play on how to get the good deals as well.

Here's what I got today:

Can you guess the price? Drum roll please……I paid a whopping $4.78. I’m still on cloud nine and I went to the store over five hours ago. I told Luke we may need to buy a deep freeze, because I plan to do this every week.
